Burford Corp., a leading commercial baking equipment manufacturer based in Maysville, Oklahoma, is on the brink of an exciting new chapter in its evolution. Following a recent acquisition by a larger corporation, the company is seizing the opportunity to reinvigorate its campus with a transformative project – the construction of a cutting-edge, 10,000 square foot office building.
AMMP has been entrusted with the task of designing this innovative new space, which will serve as the epicenter of research, collaboration, and executive leadership. The vision for the new office is bold and forward-thinking, reflecting Burford Corp.’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
At the heart of the design is a multifunctional layout that caters to the diverse needs of Burford Corp.’s workforce. The new office space is designed with dedicated areas for research and development, cooperative engineering workspaces, and executive offices. A large-scale breakroom serves as a central hub for both the office and manufacturing staff, doubling as training space for company-wide initiatives.
One of the key challenges of the project was to balance cost-effectiveness with architectural excellence. While traditional R-Panel materials were used around the perimeter of the building, strategic enhancements were made to the southeast corner – facing the campus – to create a welcoming and visually striking facade. This included a modern color scheme, large windows, and inviting canopies, elevating the aesthetic appeal of the entire campus.
Flexibility is paramount in the 21st-century workplace, and the new office is designed to accommodate this evolving work style. With a focus on mobility and collaboration, employees have the freedom to work from anywhere within the office, with dedicated desks giving way to flexible workstations and communal areas. Meeting spaces and private phone booths offer opportunities for focused work and confidential discussions, ensuring productivity and privacy are always prioritized.
