Born from the shared passion of two friends, this charming bookstore and cafe enlisted the expertise of AMMP to bring their vision to life.
From the outset, our goal was clear: to design a space that exuded warmth and invitation, beckoning guests to linger and lose themselves in the pages of their favorite books. As both designers and general contractors, we took on the challenge with enthusiasm, crafting a custom space that exceeded expectations while staying within budget.
At the heart of the design are the custom-made wooden bookcases, crafted from rich red oak. These elegant fixtures not only provide a home for the carefully curated selection of new books but also serve as a testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that define Second Story Books & Cafe.
Adding to the ambiance is the custom live-edge red oak table, adorned with hanging plants, where guests can sit and immerse themselves in the tranquil surroundings. It’s a cozy nook that invites conversation and contemplation, making it the perfect spot to savor a cup of coffee or lose oneself in the pages of a good book.
